- Mr. Casarez
Mr. Santiago Casarez Sr., 50, of Papalote, died on Saturday, June 7, 2008.
He was born on March 18, 1958, in Seguin to Jose and Gloria Arias Casarez. He was a teacher and a coach for the Ingleside Independent School District. He was a Catholic.
He is survived by his parents, Jose Casarez and Gloria Arias Casares, both of Tynan; his wife, Linda Villafranco Casarez of Papalote; four stepdaughters, Valerie Espinoza, Victoria Magana and Stephany Magana, all of Papalote, and Erica Casarez of Skidmore; three sons, Santiago Jr., Marcos and Javier Casarez, all of Papalote; three stepsons, Rudy Magana Jr. of Corpus Christi, Ruben Magana of Skidmore and Ray Magana of Papalote; three sisters, Valentina Casarez of Tynan, Mariana Perfecto of Missouri and Lisa Casarez of Corpus Christi; three brothers, Daniel Casarez of Seguin, Joe Manuel Casarez of Tynan and Gabriel Casarez of Corpus Christi; and eight grandchildren.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Skidmore with Father Sebastian officiating. A private burial will follow.
Pallbearers were Ray Magana, Javier, Marcos, Joe Manuel, Daniel and Gabriel Casarez.

Mr. Coffeen
Mr. Fernando Coffeen Jr., 50, died on Sunday, June 8, 2008.
He was born on June 9, 1957, to Fernando Coffeen Sr. and Rosa Fernandez Coffeen. He graduated from A.C. Jones High School in 1975 and graduated from Corpus Christi State University receiving his bachelors degree. He worked for Sinton ISD for 14 years with the Juvenile Detention Center.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bass Coffeen of Beeville; one daughter, Caitlin Coffeen of Beeville; two stepdaughters, Amber and Marinda Harrod, both of Beeville; three brothers, Gerald William Coffeen, Gary William (Rosa) Coffeen and Thomas Henry Coffeen, all of Beeville; two sisters, Lillian (Glen) Urquhart of Keller, and Judy (Emilio) Gonzales of Beeville; and two grandchildren.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. A private memorial burial will be held at a later date.
Pallbearers were David Ball, Danny Fernandez, Mark Gratehouse, John Contreras, Thomas Lee Coffeen and Justin Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Wilson and Leonard Falcon.

Mr. Gonzales
Services are pending at Treviño Funeral Home for Mr. Guadalupe Gonzales. Mr. Gonzales, 76, died on Tuesday, June 10. 

Mr. Kilgore
Mr. Robert “Bob” Kilgore, 60, of Manor, and formerly of Austin, died on Thursday, June 5, 2008.
He was born on Aug. 12, 1947, in Beeville to Robert and Lenora Kilgore. He was a system analyst and retired from the State of Texas in 1999.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bullen Kilgore of Manor; stepdaughter, Candy Bullen of Manor; stepson, Ronnie Bullen of Austin; stepgrandson, Chandler Bullen; cousins, Nancy and Mike Strickland of DeQuincy, La., and Bridget Porche of Los Angeles, Calif.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, June 8, at 2 p.m. at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Austin.

Mr. Pope
Mr. Paul Duane Pope, 53, of Pettus, died on Thursday, June 5, 2008.
He was born in Smithville, Miss., on Dec. 9, 1954, to Joann Darlene Wait Pope and Paul Paxton Pope. He was a construction worker, an umpire for the North Bee County Little League for five years, and a charter member of the Pettus Lions Club. He attended the Baptist church.
He is survived by one daughter, Shauna Pope of Gladstone, Miss.; one son, Jon (Brandi) Pope of Melton, Miss.; one grandson, Landon Pope; one sister, Shirley (Richard) Maxwell of Jamesport, Miss.; his mother, Joann Pope of Smithville, Miss.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1988.
Services are pending. Burial will be held at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Smithville, Miss.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pettus Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. Price
Mr. Joseph Henry Price, 76, went to sleep to await His Lord’s coming at 5:20 p.m. on June 8, 2008, at home following a short illness.
He was born September 27, 1931, in Upton County, Wyoming, to Roland B. and Naomi Norris Price, one of a family of thirteen siblings. He grew up and graduated from high school in Brooklyn, Iowa. He moved to Kansas in 1950, where he met and married Joan Bing in 1951.
Henry and Joan moved to Beeville with their four children in 1963 to help in the opening of the new hospital. In 1967, Henry went to work for Bee County College to supervise the construction and operation of the physical plant. In 1982, Henry completed a four year degree in education at Texas A&I in Kingsville. From 1984 until he retired in 2004, Henry served as a code compliance officer for the City of Beeville as well as for numerous other cities, state and federal agencies.
He was an active member and head elder of the local Seventh Day Adventist Church. Henry was active in the founding of the Beeville Volunteer Ambulance Service, was a member and officer of the Beeville Volunteer Fire Department for forty years and was active in teaching first aid and defensive driving courses in the community for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; two sons, Elden (Kay) Price of Beeville and Terre Price of Springfield, Ill.; two daughers, Becky Williams of Beeville and Jeanette Swafford of Corpus Christi; three grandsons, Bing and Fank Swafford of Corpus Christi and Duane (Keli) Price of Cleburne; three granddaughters, Diana (Michael) Kroen of Beeville, Joey Ann (Jesse) Alvarado of Burleson and Sannon (Dwayne) Merritt of Harlingen; six great-grandchildren; and special friends, Marshall Grimes and James Kelley. Also surviving are extended family, loved ones, four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at Galloway & Sons Chapel. Chapel services will be held on Thursday, June 12, at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Duane Price, Michael Kroen, Jesse Alvarado, Frank Swafford, Dwayne Merritt and Justin Merritt. Honorary pallbearers are all members of the Beeville Volunteer Fire Department.
