Mr. Allison
Edward Bryan Allison, 43, of Beeville, died on Saturday, March 1, 2008.
He was born to Judy Rae White and William Edd Allison on May 27, 1964, in Waterloo, Iowa. He was an optician for One Day Optical in Beeville and was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Edd Allison.
Survivors include his mother, Judy R. Allison of Beeville; three brothers, Keith Allison and Craig Allison, both of Beeville, and Bradley Allison of New Caney; his maternal grandmother, Johnnye White of Houston; three daughters, Kyra Allison of New Braunfels, Heather Jackson of Houston and Ashley Allison of Beeville; one son, Edward Ryan Allison of Beeville; and one grandson, Steven Silva of Houston.
Funeral services will be private.

Mr. DeLisse
Dale Nicholas DeLisse, 51, of Beeville, died late evening on Saturday, March 1, 2008, while on a ski trip in Colorado.
He was born Aug. 17, 1956, in Augusta, Kan., to Dennis and Jean DeLisse. He received his BS in textiles technology from Texas Tech University in 1978 and an Executive MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2005. He was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi and Tau Kappa Epsilon (TEKE) at Texas Tech University.
He started his career in Dallas in 1978 working in the textiles industry and in 1982 opened his own real estate business. He moved his family to Beeville in 1994 to expand his real estate business in South Texas. He was the consummate entrepreneur and his real estate and other business ventures were highly successful and spanned the globe. He was active in Rotary International and the Boy Scouts of America. He and his family have hosted numerous foreign exchange students through Rotary International and other programs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Jean; and his brother, Daniel.
He is survived by his wife, Darnella, and three children, Nicholas, Rachael and Renee, all of Beeville. He is also survived by two brothers, Dennis DeLisse of Plano and David DeLisse, and their spouses; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at First Baptist Church of Beeville.
Memorials may be made to Rotary International, Boy Scouts of America or the South Texas Children’s Home.

Mrs. Ivy
Mary Jo Ivy, 71, of Beeville, died on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at her home.
She was born on Sept. 15, 1936, in Del Rio to Carl and Clara Wallen. She graduated from Orange Grove High School and attended Texas A&I in Kingsville. She taught school in Mathis before moving to Beeville where she continued to teach.
She was preceded in death by one son, Carl Virgil, in 1964; her parents; and one brother, Jim Wallen.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Odell Ivy of Beeville; two sons, Bobby (Paula) Ivy of Waller and Benny Ivy of Sandia; one sister, Laverne Ellington of Sandia; four grandchildren, Robby, Clay, Blake and Ashley; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Mathis with Rev. Ron Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Sandia Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to Dobie Funeral Home in Mathis.
Mr. Jackson
Billy Joe “BJ” Jackson, 62, of Mineral, died on Tuesday, March 4, 2008.
He was born in Clovis, N.M., to Coleman and Noemi Courter Jackson on Jan. 3, 1946. He was retired from the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Donnie Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Diaz Jackson of Mineral; three sons, Michael Patrick (Gloria) Skau and Gonzalo (Sally) Tovar, both of Beeville, and Timothy Shawn Skau of Pettus; two daughters, Lisa (Joe) Garcia of Pettus and Michelle Skau of Mineral; his stepmother, Betty Jackson of San Angelo; two stepbrothers, Wendell Bradford and Jerry Bradford, both of Clovis, N.M.; one stepsister, Teresa Smith of San Angelo; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Angelus Funeral Home with a prayer service held there at 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held there at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Mineral.
Pallbearers will be Michael Patrick Skau, Timothy Shawn Skau, Christopher James Skau, Andrew Jacob Skau, Ismael Rodriguez II and Lisa Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Mr. Maldonado
Frank B. Maldonado, 84, of Beeville, died on Monday, March 3, 2008, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
He was born on Sept. 7, 1923, in Beeville to Margarita Bazan and Manuel Maldonado. He was a retired construction foreman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He was a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Fermana Z. Maldonado on May 8, 2007; one grandson, Freddy Arredondo; and one granddaughter, Pricilla Guerrero.
Survivors include five daughters, Maria Elena (Ysaias) Guerrero, Senaida (Robert) Hernandez, Minerva (Alfredo) Arredondo, Martha (Manuel) Puerto and Susana (Arturo) Martinez, all of Beeville; three sons, Alfredo (Gloria) Maldonado, Manuel and Juan “Johnny” Maldonado, all of Beeville; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2 with full military honors.
Pallbearers will be Michael Maldonado, Robert Hernandez Jr., Manuel Moreno Jr., Albert Maldonado, Artie Martinez, Christian James Garcia, Alex Maldonado and Richard Guerrero.

Bryan A. Miller, 47, of Beeville, died on Saturday, March 1, 2008, in San Antonio.
He was born on Aug. 24, 1960, in Corpus Christi to Gerri and Arthur Miller. He was employed as a cook at La Fiesta Restaurant.
He is survived by his wife, Valentina Miller; one daughter, LeAnna Miller, both of Beeville; his parents, Arthur and Gerri Miller; one sister, Lynn Bealefeld of Brackettville; and one brother, Kevin Miller of Campbellsville, Ky.
Visitation was held from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral services were held there at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Norris D. Jackson officiating. Burial was private.

Mr. Pagel
William K. Pagel, 95, of Beeville, died on Saturday, March 1, 2008.
He was born to Julius S. and Norma Adams Pagel in Beeville on Sept. 22, 1912. He married Cordelia “Dee” Cherry in Beeville on March 17, 1950. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was a bookkeeper and rancher. He retired from his duties of postman after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 3, 2001; his parents; one brother, John Brooke Pagel; one son, William Bruce Hill; and one son-in-law, James E. Shannon Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn C. Shannon of Port Lavaca and Cherry Dee McClintock and husband Kenneth of Beeville; one daughter-in-law; six grandchildren, Larry McClintock, Melinda Leal, Dennis Klump, Robert McClintock, Allison Hill and Andrew Hill; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one cousin; one niece; and one great-nephew.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Galloway & Sons Chapel. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Charles Galbraith officiating. Interment followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Larry McClintock, Dennis Klump, Robert McClintock, Johnny Leal, Christopher Leal, Nathan McClintock, Aaron McClintock and Andrew Hill.

Mrs. Ridgeway
Beulah Ridgeway, 87, of Longview, died on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008.
She was born March 4, 1920, in Lynns Crossing, Ala., to Aaron and Bertha Wood Pennington. She was a devoted Bible teacher all of her life.
She is survived by one daughter, Katheryn Prieto of Longview; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall with Nip Johnson officiating.
Arrangements for cremation were entrusted to East Texas Funeral Home of Longview.

Mildred Bruce Stokley, 71, of Galveston, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2008, at her residence.
The family received visitors after 12:00 noon Saturday, March 1st, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home in Galveston, Texas. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. the same day.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 2nd, at Mineral Cemetery in Mineral, Texas.
Mildred was born July 20, 1936, in Mineral, Texas. She graduated from Beeville High School, married her husband, Ralph, and moved to Alice, Texas, later living in Houston, Conroe and finally Galveston, where she has been a resident for the last 7 years. Mildred retired in 2005 from Wal-Mart, where she worked as a sales associate in the fabric department. Mildred loved doing arts and crafts and tried her hand at a bit of everything, from stained glass and oil painting to ceramics and sewing.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Perrin and Myra Williamson; her husband, Ralph Stokley; and her infant son, Bruce Stokley.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Stokley and wife, Laurie, Edgar Stokley and wife, Patricia; and Timothy Stokley and wife, Sabrina; grandchildren, Kristy, Elizabeth, Brandon, Vanessa, Latisha, Timothy Jr., Seth, and Bruce; sisters, Nancy Hoffmyer, Billie Gunderman, Dorothy Gilmore and Myra Walters and husand, Cotton; her beloved cat, Snow White; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mildred’s family wishes to express special thanks to her friends at Somerset Retirement Village.

Mr. Turner
Evelyn A. Turner, 94, of Beeville, died on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008.
She was born Nov. 27, 1913, in Arkadelphia, Ark., to Kay B. and Julia Cowart Ayers. She graduated from Carrizo Springs High School. She married James E. Turner in San Antonio on Oct. 2, 1943. She resided in Dimmitt County most of her life, moved to Kingsville in 1942 and to Beeville in 1980. She was assistant vice president of Mercantile National Bank in Kingsville until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was also a member of B&PW Club, Music Club and Women’s Bankers Association, all in Kingsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 9, 2001, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include one brother, C.W. Ayers of Bastrop; four sisters, Ophelia James of Carrizo Springs, Fay Taylor of San Antonio, Lubie (Walter) Moss of Waco, and Lillian (Homer) Howell of Colton, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Galloway & Sons Chapel. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Traylor officiating. Interment followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom Curlee, Bob Cox, Doug Culli, Doug Arnold, Walter Moss and Ed McKay.
