Mr. Campos
Erasmo Campos, 85, of Pawnee, died on Monday, Dec. 24, 2007.
He was born on Nov. 27, 1922, in Three Rivers to Erasmos and Lucia Gonzales Campos. In 1944, he married Antonia Rendon in George West. He was a Catholic and a ranch worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Roberto Campos; and one daughter, Aurora Groves.
Survivors include his wife, Antonia R. Campos of Pawnee; three sons, Erasmo Campos Jr. and Freddy Campos, both of Pawnee and Reymundo R. (Astelia) Campos of Beeville; six daughters, Anita Gutierrez of San Antonio, Angelina Ortiz, Adelita (Vince) Johnson and Leti Amaro, all of Victoria, Maria Garcia of Bay City and Flora (Abby) Miri of Austin; one brother, Gilberto Campos of Corpus Christi; two half-sisters, Santos Campos and File Gueno, both of Houston; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Galloway & Sons chapel with a rosary recited there at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.

Mr. LeBlanc
Jimmie John LeBlanc, 70, of George West, died on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007.
He was born on Nov. 6, 1937, in Thornwell, La., to John and Hazel Quibodeax LeBlanc. He married Myrtle Trahan on July 14, 1956, in Hayes, La. He was an oilfield worker for Conoco/Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle T. LeBlanc of George West; five sons, Johnny S., David. R., Carl J. and Warren A. LeBlanc, all of Hayes, La., and Brian A. LeBlanc of George West; two daughters, Veronica L. Geffert LeBlanc of George West and Vanessa F. LeBlanc of Mathis; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold LeBlanc of Crowley, La., and Sonny LeBlanc of Sulphur, La.; and five sisters, Audrey LeBlanc of Lacassine, La., Bertha Crochet of Hathaway, La., Velma Harris of De Ridder, La., Carolyn LeBlanc of North Carolina and Connie Menard of Roanoke, La.
A memorial service was held at his home on Friday.
